PRIVACY

Last updated October 13, 2026

godoftheweek.com is a hobby site for a private fantasy football league series, run by its commissioner, HeirJordans, and the Cabinet. This page explains what the site keeps and why. There are no ads on the site. We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they use.

WHAT WE COLLECT

  • League data from Sleeper: Sleeper display names, avatars, rosters, draft results and scores, read from Sleeper's public API to build the standings and records.
  • Member sign-in: the PIN you choose is stored only as a salted, one-way hash. Your browser keeps a sign-in token so you stay signed in on that device.
  • What you post: Council proposals, votes, picks, offerings and trash talk, shown publicly under your Sleeper name.
  • GOTW Herald sign-ups: your mobile number, the date you agreed to the texts and which version of the consent wording you agreed to, plus when you stopped or rejoined. The number is stored encrypted and is only ever shown masked (•••-•••-0199).
  • Hosting logs: our host, Netlify, keeps standard request logs (like IP address and browser type) to run and secure the site. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when it serves them.
  • Site analytics: Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits and see which pages get used, along with general details like your browser, device and rough location. It never receives your mobile number or your PIN. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

TEXT MESSAGES

Your mobile number is used for one thing: sending the GOTW Herald you signed up for. It isn't used for marketing, and it's never sold, rented or traded.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The only outside company that handles your number is the text-message provider that delivers the alerts (such as Twilio), and only to send them.

Reply STOP to any text to opt out. The full SMS terms are on the terms page.

WHO SEES IT

  • Everyone: league standings, records and anything you post on the site.
  • The Cabinet (the league's commissioners): the list of who's signed up for GOTW Herald, with numbers masked.
  • Service providers: Netlify hosts the site and its data; Google Analytics measures site traffic; a text-message provider delivers alerts. They process data only to provide those services.
  • No one else. We don't sell or share personal information, and we'd only disclose it if the law required it.

YOUR CHOICES

  • Stop texts anytime: reply STOP, or sign in at /herald and tap Stop texts.
  • Want your sign-up, PIN or posts removed? Email herald@godoftheweek.com and it'll be deleted.
  • The site is for adult league members and isn't directed at children.
  • This policy can change. The date at the top says when it last did.
