THE SITE
godoftheweek.com ("God of the Week," "the site") is the home of a private, invitation-only fantasy football league series played on Sleeper. It is run by its commissioner, HeirJordans, and the Cabinet. By using the site you agree to these terms.
- The league runs on Sleeper. Rosters, drafts and scores come from Sleeper's public data. If the site and Sleeper ever disagree, Sleeper wins, along with the commissioners' (the Cabinet's) rulings.
- Member sign-in. Managers sign in with their Sleeper name and a PIN they choose. Keep your PIN to yourself. You're responsible for what's posted under your name.
- What you post. Proposals, picks, offerings and trash talk are visible to everyone who visits. Keep it within reason. The Cabinet can remove anything.
- No warranty. The site is a hobby project offered as-is. It may be wrong, slow or down, and it isn't liable for anything that happens because of that.
- Changes. These terms can change. The date at the top says when they last did.
SMS TERMS: GOTW ALERTS
GOTW Herald is God of the Week's text-message program. It's free, it's for God of the Week managers (including first-timers), and it's opt-in only. You join by signing in at godoftheweek.com/herald, entering your mobile number and checking the consent box.
- What you'll get: recurring automated texts about your God of the Week drafts: a heads-up 5 minutes before a draft you hold a seat in begins; in slow and semi-slow drafts, a ping when your pick has been up for 5 minutes; and announcements when a draft has open seats, sent only to managers without a seat that week. You choose which of these you get when you sign up, and can change them anytime at /herald. Members of the Cabinet (the league's commissioners) who opt in also get league-watch alerts.
- How often: message frequency varies with your drafts and the league calendar, typically a few texts a week during the season.
- Cost: GOTW Herald is free. Message and data rates may apply from your wireless carrier.
- To stop: reply STOP to any GOTW Herald text (CANCEL, END, QUIT and UNSUBSCRIBE also work). You'll get one confirmation text and no more messages after that. You can also sign in at /herald and tap Stop texts. To rejoin, sign up again on the same page.
- For help: reply HELP to any GOTW Herald text, or email herald@godoftheweek.com.
- Delivery: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Texts can arrive late or not at all, so the draft clock on Sleeper is always the one that counts.
- Your number: we use it only to send GOTW Herald. See the privacy policy for how it's handled. Mobile numbers and opt-in consent are never shared or sold for marketing.
- Changing numbers: if you change or give up your mobile number, sign in at /herald and update it or stop texts, so alerts don't reach whoever gets the number next.
